Drumming

People may not know, but I organize a small drum circle called “Port Drum.” Drumming is and was something I’ve wanted to be a part of for a short while.  The beat, the rhythm, the trance where I could lose myself and come out on the other end with a clarity of mind that meditation could never bring me…. I wanted it bad. I hung out with my AWESOME friends at Firedance and learned a thing or two. One – I don’t exactly suck but I do need a LOT of work to be a drummer. Two – why the hell don’t I start a circle closer to home so we can jam with Firedance and not feel like dirt cuz  we aren’t as good as them?? Well Port Drum was born this year. Now I’ll tell you the truth, for a long time I did not own a djembe.  It was heartbreaking. All of that has changed now. Here she is everyone. This is Una:

Travelling

I got Una in Montreal, QC. The city was gorgeous! It was nice to get away from it all even if for a few days for sure. It was one of the few trips that I did NOT bring the big camera with me and spend most of my time looking for a good shot. Oh yeah, did I mention that JAZZFEST was going on??? We saw Fat Tuesday Brass Band, heard Stevie Wonder and even bore witness to a parade going by.  Hoping to fit in a day trip or two before the snow flies again

Other Stuff:

Once again, Durham Pagan Pride Day is rolling around. Getting volunteers and fund raising for that. Got some new photo equipement that just rox my sox! Two backgrounds on “jet” color and the other is white. Very cool stuffs indeed. Business isn’t booming but I’m not gonna complaing. Got some new sites – personal and clients – in the works and very happy about it!

And we are Back on the air

I am back from New Orleans. Man oh man do I miss my family! I had a great time! Stay tuned for pictures and other goodies!

I am happy to report that Witchblade will be on DVD soon!

So as most people don’t know I have a Facebook account. What most people do know is that I love Scrabulous. I’m freaking addicted. I LOVE playing! And the best part? It makes me smarter! Although I still don’t think that “za” or “ae” are actually words…..

Can’t sleep or turn my brain off

SO it’s 2 am. I’m thinking that my sugars are way too high as I can’t sleep and I’m thirsty.
Oh yeah and I have to P like mad. So I get up, go potty and test. My sugars are just fine.

SO now I’m up. The puppy came with me to the ’puter room and is so confused.

It’s a cool October night. There was fog this evening and the ground has been with from the
light rain all day.

Just want to sleeep.

The only good thing to come out of Kentwood, Louisiana is still WATER

Right. So poor little Britney has to give up the kids to K-Fed. Boo-frikkin-hoo. Now, we all know that if it were you or I, the middle class masses who can’t afford to buy her overpriced albums, we would have lost the right to even breed before the kids were born.

You can’t tell me that this train wreck wasn’t coming. After the completely fake first marriage in Vegas and her nearly dropping her own child – as she saved her hiball… yeah. no surprises there.

And what gets me, what kills me is that this is making front page mentions or even news. People? Who
the F*** cares?? SO what? She’s not a good mama and she ain’t too much of a singer… you’re
expecting leniency?

And what about the real news? What about the people in New Orleans who are STILL struggling to get back home? What about the plight of health care in Canada and the US? What about global frikkin warming? Is the world really so bad that we have to console ourselves with the life of Britney??

My god. Just go watch Oprah instead… wait a minute……
